What did I learn today

• Learnt about struct contructors in C++
• Learnt to make basic figures in CeTZ package for typst

Updates on personal projects

• Using Rust for CalculiX preprocessor might be quite the challenge since C++ packages like OpenCASCADE are hard to integrate.
  • Possible solution is to just use gmsh API in the plugin for meshing and release that seperately as a GPL licensed plugin.
• Learning more about C++ to develop a proper note on kMC FEA transient thermal base.

Career development updates

• Need to check with Yongle on Monday about what contract he is planning on giving me right now.

Minor things

• Found the Verisurf license key, all i had to do was email everyone.
• Spent a lot of time talking to Sriram on his idea about cognitive training to beat AI slop.
• Had a new idea for a blog post on how much I like Linux and how much I hate that I still need to use windows at work.

How I feel about today

• The day was overall quite good, didn’t do a lot of work but had a long chat with Sriram which I enjoyed quite a bit.
• Completed 3x12 on 60kg deadlifts today, which made me feel quite good.

Future tasks

• Follow up Imperial PhD
• Ask Yongle about contract details
• Finish Archer2 C++ course and go over kMC FEA transient thermal base thoroughly
