Went to Penang Perankan Mansion and learned about Peranakan culture and history.
Saw various artefacts, traditional clothing, and architecture styles.
Learned about the influence of Chinese and Malay cultures on Peranakan traditions.
Two items which were especially interesting were the intricate beadwork on traditional Peranakan shoes and the jewellery made with kingfisher
feathers.

Minor things
Did quite a bit of street photography in Penang today.
Went to a nice Vegan restaurant called Kommune for dinner and had Malay inspired Vegan dishes.
Inchi Kabin: Seasoned deep-fried mushrooms with a Worcestershire dip, vegan version of a Nyonya/Perankan dish.
Chilled Mee Rebus: Cold handmade scallion noodles in a sweet potato and tomato soup with mock meat and water spinach tempura.
Kefir soda: A no milk probiotic drink with a tangy and fizzy flavour, made with fermented water kefir grains.
How I feel about today
