Firefox Teams Setup

Firefox (Linux) – Microsoft Teams v2 Web Fix

Symptoms

• Unable to start/join calls in Teams v2 web on Firefox
• Works in Chromium/Brave

Fix (Confirmed Working)

1. Enable Autoplay

• Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security → Autoplay
• Set to Allow Audio and Video
  • or add exception for https://teams.microsoft.com

2. about:config WebRTC Settings

Open about:config and ensure:

• media.peerconnection.enabled = true
• media.peerconnection.ice.proxy_only = false
• media.navigator.permission.disabled = false
• media.getusermedia.audiocapture.enabled = true

Notes

• “Always ask” permissions can still break Teams
• Firefox is stricter than Chromium; Teams v2 expects autoplay + pre-enabled WebRTC
