Experience

Food

Day 1

  • Landed at KLIA T2
    • Had simple croissant and latte at starbucks
    • Kaya toast with no kaya and iced Kopi C kosong at Bungus Kaw Kaw
  • Lunch at Avenue K KLCC at a vegan stall called SALA.
    • Southern fried mock chicken burger and a diet coke.
  • Dinner at food stalls in Pavilion Bukit Bintang. Ate at BBQ nights, a northern Indian restaurant.

Day 2

  • Had a great breakfast. Veg spring rolls, fried noodles, pasta and potato wedges. Then had some scrambled eggs, coffee, croissant and Danish pastry. The croissant and Danish were baked fresh right at the table and they were exceptional.
  • Went out to Pentaling street, Chinatown and central market, they were all interesting. But the market itself was nothing special.
  • Had lunch from a Vegan restaurant, “Wholey Wonder”. Had Tempe Bibimbap and sweet mala cauliflower.
  • Had dinner from a Malay-inspired Vegan restaurant, “The Hungry Tapir”.
    • Jungle Laksa with Nyonya coconut sauce. A vermicelli noodle with coconut and fried tofu stew.
    • Sweet Curry puff. Three curry puffs filled with sweet vegan meat.
      • Curry chicken - Great balance of sweet and savoury.
      • Char Siew - Not my favourite and not very sweet.
      • Coconut Pandan - My favourite, tasted like Pooran.

Day 3

  • Had breakfast at hotel. Mini samosas, scrambled eggs, hash browns, croissant, guava juice and apple juice. Also had traditional Malay desert “Malay Kuih”. There were two flavours, one tasted like Pandan with a cake like base and another tasted like coconut and chocolate with a tapioca base.
  • Had lunch at Suria KLCC food court. Had a small pizza a Milo.
  • Got to airport and had curry puff from a random stall, ginger soda and latte.
